Use extreme caution concerning information you receive from third parties when it pertains to “Firearm Laws” or the “Use of Force”. I encourage students to follow the hyperlink to the actual text contained in the Colorado Revised Statutes.
Colorado Revised Statues are made up of 43 titles (think of them as 43 books on a shelf). Within each title are articles (think of them as chapters within a book). Within each article are sections or parts.
Title 18 is the Criminal Code. Article 12 is Offenses Related to Firearms and Weapons. I encourage students to read the 35 pages that make up article 12. Page 22 begins the part specifically addressing concealed weapons permits.
Also within Title 18 (Criminal Code) are the laws concerning “Use of Force”. Article 1, section\part 7 is “Justification and Exemptions from Criminal Responsibility”. All citizens should become fluent with section 704-707. MUST READ!!!
